PROFILE
Tetsushi Segawa began his dance training in Himeji, Japan at the age of eight and joined Sadamatsu Hamada Ballet Company in 1999. He was a scholarship student at Osaka University of Arts where he received his degree in dance in 2001. He has won many prizes in various competitions in Japan, including the second place prize at the 57th All Japan Ballet Competition in Tokyo. In the United States Mr. Segawa studied at the Joffrey Ballet School as a scholarship student and danced with the Joffrey Ensemble, Rochester Ballet, Mobile Ballet and Cincinnati Ballet. He performed with Les Ballets Grandiva from 2003 to 2011. In 2011 Mr. Segawa moved to Toronto to study in the Teacher Training Program for Professional Dancers at Canada’s National Ballet School. He graduated with distinction in June 2013, obtaining a diploma from Canada’s National Ballet School and Cecchetti Associate teaching qualification from the Cecchetti Society of Canada.

PROFILE
Graduated from The Royal Ballet School, U.K.
Upon graduation, she has danced with the English National Ballet, the National Ballet of Japan, and the K Ballet Company. She was a Soloist at the opening ceremony of the Nagano Olympics in 1998. After retiring, she obtained the Enrico Cecchetti Final Diploma, the highest dancing qualification of the Cecchetti Method, and the Fellowship, the highest teaching qualification of the ISTD, U.K.
She founded “The Ballet Garden”, which is authorised by the ISTD, U.K. in 2011. She has been actively working as an audition tutor and interpreter for ballet schools in the U.K., and has been invited to teach at workshops and competitions in Japan and overseas. She has also been working as a Judge for competitions at various places.
She translated and proofed the text of the Enrico Cecchetti DVD/Blu-ray (published by Opus Arts, Royal Opera House, UK) and printed material into Japanese, by the request of the Cecchetti Society Trust, U.K.

PROFILE
She began her ballet training at the age of 10 under Mme. Mieko Wakui in Japan. From 1994 to 1997, she studied at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy under Mme. Marina Leonova who is the current Dean of the academy. After she graduated top of the class, she joined the State Moscow Classical Ballet. In 1999, she came back in Japan and joined K-Ballet Company as First Soloist. She appeared in various productions as a partner of Tetsuya Kumakawa. In August 2009, she joined the National Ballet of Japan as Soloist and promoted to Principal in 2013. She retired from the company in 2017. In the same year at the Tokyo Performing Arts Festival, she danced the leading role at the performance by Public Juridical Foundation Japan Ballet Association.

Music Requirement
*Participants must submit CD to the reception desk on the day of the competition.
*Your name, Entry number, The title of the variation must be written with a permanent marker on CD and its case. The entering wing and its timing also must be written and need to be instructed by the person concerned on the day.
*Participants must make sure if your music to be able to play back on a general CD player.
*Participants are responsible for a backup CD and bring it on the day.
*All copyright negotiations are the responsibility of each participant.
